Rock the Block is back
and bigger than ever!

Wrap up the summer with fun, music and food at Rock the Block, coming to downtown’s Fourth Street for one night only, Friday, September 18, from 6 p.m. to midnight.

Come and enjoy all the great food downtown offers with the likes of Mellow Mushroom, Downtown Thai, and Camel City,  as well as, the variety of Rock the Block food vendors, offering goodies such as smoothies, ice cream, wings, philly cheese steaks, polish sausages, gyros, burgers, ribs and more.

This year’s event has added some new features you want to be sure to visit. At the corner of 4th and Trade streets, will be a wine tasting area featuring local Yadkin Valley wineries. While you are making your way down to Trade St., be sure to stop and enjoy the street performers that will dot the footprint with a variety of eye catching acts.

All of your favorites are back, Craft Row (with more artisans!); the Sheetz BMX Stunt Bike Show with a new and improved location on 4th St.; as is the Modern Toyota Children’s area with more inflatables which includes a huge slide, fun at any age!

Like the original Rock the Block held in 2002, this edition will feature a multitude of diverse styles of live music - rock, beach, country/contemporary Christian, and R&B.

The Best Health Beach Music stage has moved to the grassy area in front of One Park Vista. This will allow for more space to shag the night away! The R&B stage has moved to Winston Square Park between Marshall and Spruce streets. The Country/Contemporary Christian Stage has moved to Cherry St. at Third. Please go to the “Map” link to get all the location details.

This edition of Rock the Block is being produced by the city of Winston-Salem and the Downtown Winston-Salem Partnership.

It is the biggest downtown event of the year. If you missed it last year, don't miss it again! See you there.
